What is Apon Ghar Scheme?

Apon Ghar Home Loan Subsidy Scheme is a joint initiative by the Government of Assam and the State Bank of India to help Assam Government employees achieve their dream of owning a home. The scheme provides home loans at subsidized interest rates to eligible applicants.

Key Features:
  • 1% government subsidy on interest rates.

Who Can Avail This Scheme?
  • Permanent residents of Assam with a minimum of 5 years of work experience under the Assam Government.
  • Age limit:
    • Minimum: 21 years
    • Maximum: 70 years (for pensionable employees)
    • Maximum: 60 years (for non-pensionable employees)
  • Joint applications allowed, provided all borrowers are Assam Government employees.

Perks of the Scheme

✅ Home loan up to ₹15 lakhs (₹30 lakhs for joint borrowers).
Low-interest rate at 1% interest subvention by the Assam Government.
Repayment tenure of up to 20 years.
